We carried out this videomapping project for La Terrrazza, one of the reference spaces in electronic music in Barcelona. Every year during the summer, the space welcomes a great variety of DJ’s and with an important participation of the public. For this reason, every year they renew their facilities with the idea of surprising and innovating for the public. The challenge for Mapping World-Lab was to create an easy-to-use video installation to set the mood for the cocktail area.
We had the opportunity to carry out this projection mapping project for La Terrrazza, one of the most iconic venues in Barcelona’s electronic music scene. Every summer, the space hosts internationally renowned DJs and attracts a large audience of electronic music enthusiasts. With a constant flow of visitors, La Terrrazza’s desire to renew its installations each year to offer increasingly surprising and innovative experiences was clear.
In this context, Mapping World Lab took on the challenge of creating a projection mapping installation that would enrich the atmosphere of the cocktail area — while remaining easy to operate.
For this project, our aim was to transform an existing space into a unique and visually captivating environment through the magic of video mapping. We designed animated projections using vibrant colours and dynamic shapes to create an atmosphere that spectacularly altered the appearance of the space. The idea was to infuse the area with a fresh, energetic, and festive feel — perfectly in tune with the venue’s music. The use of motion graphics further enhanced this effect by adding depth and movement to the environment.
The end result was a user-friendly, visually striking video mapping display that captivated every visitor. We created an audiovisual narrative that aligned seamlessly with the spirit and atmosphere of La Terrrazza, offering a visual experience that perfectly complemented the venue’s electronic vibe. Thanks to the integration of modern technologies and a carefully considered design, we delivered a sensory experience that enhanced the cocktail area while staying true to the venue’s identity.
